Press release – W4’s alliance strategy rewarded with market recognition

Or Yehuda, Israel, 5 February 2008

W4 has enriched its BPM (Business Process Management) offering by adding integration features from Magic Software to its workflow engine.

Magic Software Enterprises Ltd. (NASDAQ: MGIC), a leading supplier of integration and development environments for business applications, announced today that Forrester Research Inc. had described W4 as a strong performer in its December 2007 evaluation of BPM-solution vendors, “The Forrester Wave™: Human-Centric BPM, Q4 2007".

The Forrester Wave report states that W4 (and one other supplier) “adds comprehensive integration features to solid workflow. The French vendor W4 embeds Israel-based Magic Software's tools in its own, and Magic likewise embeds W4; the mutual arrangement allows software purchased from either vendor to support comprehensive process management”.

Magic Software's iBOLT™ is a feature-rich, efficient, cost-effective and straightforward framework for Business Process Integration. It rationalizes the use of competing standards and proprietary formats, and creates and deploys new business processes, services, and applications dynamically. Its design, analysis and integration tools are designed to guarantee fast and efficient end-to-end integration.

The Forrester report states that “W4 and Magic Software provide a great combination for companies without a strong ESB (Enterprise Service Bus) strategy in place. These buyers can get breadth of functionality with well-integrated developer tools from one place”.

“This is the direct result of our OEM strategy for iBOLT”, comments Eitan Naor, Magic Software’s President and CEO. He adds, “It shows that best of breed can be successfully achieved at the vendor level, extending the benefits to the end users”.
Laurent Hénault, CEO of W4, adds: “Integrating iBOLT into our BPM Suite was very straightforward. It has added functionality and flexibility that have made us more competitive and enabled us to win new business”.

Magic Software follows an OEM strategy for iBOLT, working with systems and solutions providers who want to embed business-integration functionality into their products.
